There are a few facts & myths out and about regarding the Equinox......

The decals;
These are rare now (sometimes found on eBay) but the part numbers are:
  1. Platinum Silver:
    DAE102170RBL - Decal-tonneau - Platinum/Purple
    DAE102130RBL - Decal-bootlid - Platinum/Purple
  2. Charcoal:
    DAE102170RBK - Decal-tonneau - Gold/Charcoal
    DAE102130RBK - Decal-bootlid - Gold/Charcoal
  3. Amaranth:
    DAE102170RKN - Decal-tonneau - Amaranth/Gold
    DAE102130RKN - Decal-bootlid - Amaranth/Gold
 

The seats
Having taken a set to bits when getting them fixed up it looks like they are not half leather, it looks like vinyl (at least the front ones).
 
How many?
Many thanks to Claire, who wrote an email to the site with some information to clear up the query as to how many Equinoxes were made.

Back in 1997 when the Equinox was just rolling off the production line Claire wrote to Rover about her Equinox and asked how many were made. The response was below:

"I am pleased to confirm that your Mini Equinox is part of a limited edition build of only 750 cars. As you can see your car really is one of a very few like it in the world. I wish you all the enjoyment possible with your car, both now and in the future."

Where did they go?
